In a significant blow to drug trafficking, the Taguig City Police Station successfully conducted a buy-bust operation, leading to the arrest of a high-value female suspect, Sherhana Hatae, aged 33. The operation, which took place in Barangay South Signal around 11:40 p.m. on Wednesday, resulted in the seizure of shabu valued at approximately PHP4.8 million. The drugs were found in three plastic bags, totaling 708.5 grams, along with the buy-bust money used in the operation. Sherhana, a resident of Guadalupe, Makati City, was apprehended during the sting, marking another victory for the Taguig City Police Station in their ongoing battle against illegal drugs. The station has been recognized nationally for its efforts, having made over 1,700 drug-related arrests in the previous year. In a related development, the Police Regional Office in Central Luzon reported the seizure of PHP12.7 million worth of illegal drugs and the arrest of 343 suspects, including 17 high-value individuals, over an 11-day period. These operations underscore the relentless efforts of law enforcement to curb the spread of illegal narcotics.
