In a move to enhance voter readiness, the Antique chapter of the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. (PCCI) has committed to educating its employees on the use of automated counting machines (ACM) ahead of the May elections. This initiative follows a voter education and ACM demonstration event held at Advance Central College in San Jose de Buenavista, Antique, on January 22, 2025.
Rani Rodriguez, president of PCCI Antique, expressed increased confidence in the electoral process after participating in the event organized by the Commission on Elections (Comelec). Rodriguez emphasized the importance of understanding the ACM’s operations, stating that the PCCI would relay this knowledge to its employees to ensure they are well-prepared for Election Day.
During the demonstration, Rodriguez highlighted a key feature of the ACM: after inserting the ballot, the machine provides an immediate summary of the results, enhancing transparency and efficiency. Rodriguez affirmed the PCCI’s commitment to fully participate in the upcoming elections, underscoring the significance of exercising their right to vote.
