In a significant crackdown on illegal drug activities, the Davao Region’s police force successfully executed 25 operations over a 24-hour period from January 22 to 23, resulting in the seizure of drugs worth PHP1.1 million. The Police Regional Office in Davao Region (PRO-11) announced the successful operations on Thursday. According to a social media update from PRO-11, the operations led to the apprehension of 30 suspects and the confiscation of 161.9 grams of shabu along with 40.9 grams of dried marijuana leaves. Brig. Gen. Leon Victor Rosete, the director of PRO-11, praised the teams involved for their unwavering commitment to the ongoing anti-drug initiative. He emphasized that their efforts are in line with the broader strategic goals of the Philippine National Police, which focus on intensifying anti-drug operations while ensuring a humane and rights-based approach. Additionally, on January 21, PRO-11 carried out 17 similar operations, which resulted in 19 arrests and the seizure of illegal drugs valued at PHP769,082.
