Two Suspects Apprehended with PHP9.5 Million Shabu in Iligan City Raid

In a significant drug bust in Iligan City, authorities successfully apprehended two individuals and confiscated PHP9.5 million worth of shabu. The operation, which took place on January 22, 2025, was a collaborative effort between the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) from Zamboanga Peninsula and Northern Mindanao. The suspects, identified as 59-year-old Raisah and Bappa, were caught during a buy-bust operation on Tibanga Highway in Barangay San Miguel. Bappa sustained injuries while attempting to evade arrest. The seizure included approximately 1,400 grams of suspected shabu, along with the money used in the transaction and a sport utility vehicle. Support for the operation came from the Misamis Occidental Provincial Office and the Regional Intelligence Unit. In a related incident on January 17 in Zamboanga City, another suspect named Empog, aged 52, was arrested with 100 grams of shabu, buy-bust money, and a mobile phone.
