MANILA – According to the weather bureau, several parts of the Philippines will see continued rainfall on Wednesday due to the influence of multiple weather systems. The Bicol Region and Eastern Visayas are set to experience scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms, primarily due to the shear line. Meanwhile, the easterlies are expected to bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, and Surigao del Sur. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has warned that these areas might face moderate to heavy rains, which could lead to flash floods or landslides. In other regions, the northeast monsoon, known locally as ‘amihan,’ will cause light rains in Cagayan Valley, Aurora, and Quezon, with isolated light rains expected across the rest of Luzon. The rest of the country can anticipate isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies. Additionally, moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas are forecasted for northern and central Luzon.
