Davao Police Seize PHP1.7 Million in Illegal Drugs During Intensive Weeklong Operations

In a robust effort to combat drug-related crimes, the Police Regional Office-Davao Region (PRO-11) successfully confiscated illegal drugs valued at approximately PHP1.7 million over the course of a week, from January 13 to 19. The operations, which spanned across Davao City, were highlighted by Brig. Gen. Leon Victor Rosete, the regional director of PRO-11, as a testament to the unwavering dedication of the ‘Pulis Dabawenyos’ in their fight against the drug menace. The week’s activities included a series of buy-bust operations, the execution of search and arrest warrants, setting up checkpoints, and immediate police responses to drug-related incidents. Among the seized items were 249.4 grams of shabu, with an estimated street value of PHP1.69 million, and 66.1 grams of dried marijuana leaves, valued at PHP7,938. These operations also resulted in the apprehension of 57 individuals involved in drug trafficking, including 14 high-value targets and 43 street-level dealers, further demonstrating PRO-11’s commitment to eradicating drug-related crimes and ensuring justice.
