In a distressing incident on Friday morning, a collision between a tricycle and a refrigerated delivery van in Guihulngan City, Negros Oriental, resulted in injuries to ten individuals. The accident occurred when the tricycle, carrying nine passengers including six students, a young child, and two workers, attempted to overtake another vehicle and crashed into the oncoming van. The injured were promptly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The van, a Hino 300 model, was en route to Bacolod City and fortunately sustained no damage, with its driver remaining unscathed. Lt. Stephen Polinar from the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office reported that further investigations are underway to understand the circumstances leading to the crash.
