CEBU CITY – The Sinulog Fiesta Fair 2025, inaugurated by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) at a local mall, is a vibrant showcase of Cebuano culinary delights and artisanal crafts. The event, which kicked off on Wednesday, features 34 exhibitors from Cebu and additional participants from Bohol, Davao, and Palawan, totaling 37 vendors.
From January 15 to 26, visitors can explore the fair at the SM Main Mall Atrium’s lower ground level. Esperanza Transfiguracion Melgar, DTI-7’s assistant regional director, emphasized the fair’s role in highlighting the region’s finest food and non-food products, celebrating Cebuano innovation and craftsmanship.
The fair is a platform for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to display a diverse range of products, from footwear and guitars to fashion jewelry, shellcraft, novelties, and homemade foods. A highlight is the locally sourced Tuburan coffee, which offers attendees a taste of the region’s rich flavors.
In a significant move to support local businesses, the Cebu provincial government, in collaboration with DTI-Cebu and the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), has allocated PHP5.9 million in seed capital to 295 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) under the Sugbo Negosyo 3.0 program. The initial PHP20,000 per beneficiary is intended to fund physical improvements such as renovations and beautification, enhancing the appeal and professionalism of their business spaces.
