4Ps Beneficiaries with Pregnant Members and Infants Encouraged to Update Profiles Online

·

CEBU CITY – The Department of Social Welfare and Development in Central Visayas is urging households enrolled in the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) that include pregnant women or children up to two years old to update their profiles on the i-Registro platform. This initiative is part of the preparations for the rollout of the First 1,000 Days (F1KD) conditional cash grants program this year, according to Shalaine Marie Lucero, Director of DSWD-7.

As of January 9, 2025, DSWD-7 reported that 13,806 4Ps beneficiaries under the age of two have updated their profiles and are now eligible for the F1KD grants. The i-Registro, also known as the Dynamic Social Registry (DSR), facilitates quick updates for pregnant women and young children in 4Ps households using digital tools.

Lucero emphasized the convenience of the i-Registro, stating that beneficiaries can update their information from home, upload necessary documents, and receive immediate updates on their status via text or email. This platform is particularly beneficial for those who have not yet visited their local 4Ps City and Municipal Links.

Before the introduction of the i-Registro, updates were made through the Beneficiary Updating System (BUS) form 5 at local 4Ps offices. Lucero clarified that while the i-Registro offers a digital solution, it does not replace the traditional method of updating profiles manually. She advised against using both methods to avoid duplicate records.

The i-Registro platform is integrated with the Philippine National Identification System and the 4Ps database to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the data. It can be accessed at https://iregistro-4ps.dswd.gov.ph.

The F1KD program aims to improve maternal and child health by addressing issues such as inadequate prenatal care and nutritional deficiencies, which can lead to stunted growth and developmental delays in children. The 4Ps, established in 2008 and formalized in 2019 under Republic Act No. 11310, supports poor households by providing education, health, and rice subsidies to help children complete their education from elementary to senior high school.
