In a powerful display of unity and peace, the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) held a National Rally for Peace at Sawangan Park in Legazpi City on January 13, 2025. The event, attended by over 30,000 members from various regions including Albay, Catanduanes, Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, Sorsogon, and Masbate, was a testament to the church’s commitment to fostering peace and understanding across the nation.

Brother Eric Zaratan, the supervising minister of INC-Albay, expressed gratitude towards the local government of Legazpi and the Philippine National Police-Bicol for their role in ensuring the safety and security of all participants. Zaratan highlighted the rally’s success, attributing it to meticulous planning and organization, which allowed the event to conclude peacefully.

During the rally, Zaratan voiced support for President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s efforts to address national needs, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing the country’s pressing issues over disputes. He stressed that the desire for a better nation is a shared goal among all Filipinos, not just the members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo.

Brig. Gen. Andre Dizon, Director of the Police Regional Office in Bicol (PRO-5), praised the INC members for their discipline and responsibility, noting the effective execution of traffic management, crowd control, and overall security operations during the rally. Dizon’s commendation underscored the event’s success as a model of peaceful assembly and civic responsibility.
