Philippine Postal Corporation Expands Next-Day Delivery Network in Metro Manila

·

The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) is enhancing its Express Mail Service (EMS) by establishing new delivery hubs in Metro Manila, starting January 13. These hubs, located in Manila, Quezon City, and Makati City, aim to improve both domestic and international EMS operations. Previously, the Central Mail Exchange Center (CMEC) in Pasay City handled the majority of express mail deliveries across the National Capital Region (NCR). With the new system, EMS staff, including delivery personnel and drivers, will transition to these new hubs to streamline operations. The initiative is expected to offer customers enhanced access, convenience, and cost savings in their EMS dealings. PHLPost also announced that undelivered items will be held for seven days, allowing customers time to request redelivery or collect their items without needing to visit the CMEC. The EMS next-day delivery service is tailored to meet the high demand in Metro Manila, which represents a significant portion of PHLPost’s delivery volume. For domestic mail within Metro Manila, items posted after the cut-off time will be delivered within 48 hours. The cut-off time varies by location, set at 2 p.m. for post offices in Caloocan, Valenzuela, Marikina, Novaliches, Pasig, Pateros, Taguig, Mandaluyong, San Juan, SM Mall of Asia, and SM Manila, and at 3:30 p.m. for those in Manila, Makati, Quezon City, Pasay, Parañaque, Muntinlupa, and Las Piñas.
