Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office Achieves Level 2 Certification in Responsible Gaming

·

The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) has been awarded a level 2 certification for responsible gaming by the World Lottery Association, marking a significant achievement in the global lottery community. This recognition places the PCSO among a select group of lottery organizations worldwide that are recognized for their dedication to responsible gaming practices. The certification followed a thorough evaluation by an independent panel, which reviewed the PCSO’s gaming programs and its efforts in raising funds for sectors such as health and welfare. The panel’s assessment also included the PCSO’s initiatives to prevent underage participation in gaming and to mitigate gaming-related risks, alongside efforts to educate the public on responsible gaming. PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles emphasized that this certification reflects the organization’s commitment to generating revenue for charitable causes while promoting responsible gaming. He further noted that the certification underscores the PCSO’s commitment to protecting the interests of players, stakeholders, and the communities it serves. Robles also highlighted that this new status will boost the PCSO’s ability to raise more funds for critical sectors, enhance disaster response efforts, and support livelihood programs for Filipinos. Looking forward, Robles stated that the PCSO aims to further refine its responsible gaming framework to attain higher levels of certification from the World Lottery Association, while continuing to build trust, transparency, and accountability with its stakeholders.
