Philippine National Police Announces New Appointments in Recent Shake-Up

In a significant reorganization within the Philippine National Police (PNP), five senior officials have been reassigned to new roles, effective as of Wednesday. The announcement came from PNP chief Gen. Rommel Francisco Marbil, who issued the order on January 8, which was disclosed to the public on Thursday. Brigadier Generals Christopher Abecia, Ramil Montilla, and Roel Rodolfo have been appointed as officers-in-charge of the Aviation Security Group (AVSEGROUP), Headquarters Support Services (HSS), and Anti-Kidnapping Group (AKG), respectively. Additionally, Colonel Mariano Rodriguez has been appointed as the acting deputy regional director for administration at Police Regional Office 11 in Davao, while Colonel Arnold Santiago takes on the same role at PRO 12 in Soccsksargen. Gen. Marbil emphasized the importance of maintaining integrity and fairness in their duties as law enforcement officers. He justified the reshuffle as a strategic move to place officials in positions where they can best contribute to upcoming challenges.
