A single lucky bettor from Negros Occidental struck it rich, winning the PHP29.7 million jackpot in the Grand Lotto 6/55 draw held on Wednesday night. The winning ticket, which matched the numbers 13-21-24-31-09-03, was announced by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) in a statement released on Thursday.
In addition to the jackpot winner, 56 other participants won PHP100,000 each by correctly guessing five of the six numbers. Furthermore, 1,967 bettors will receive PHP1,500 each for matching four numbers, and 26,235 will take home PHP60 for getting three numbers right.
Winners have a one-year window from the draw date to claim their prizes, as stipulated by Republic Act 1169, which governs PCSO lotteries. All jackpot prizes must be collected at the PCSO’s main office located on Shaw Boulevard in Mandaluyong City.
To claim their winnings, winners are required to sign their names on the back of their winning tickets and provide two forms of government-issued identification. It’s important to note that any winnings exceeding PHP10,000 are subject to a 20 percent tax, as per the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law.
The Grand Lotto 6/55 is drawn three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.
