BUTUAN CITY – The Caraga region welcomes Brig. Gen. Christopher Abrahano as its new police chief, succeeding Brig. Gen. Alan Nazarro who stepped down upon retirement in December. Abrahano, a distinguished alumnus of the Philippine National Police Academy’s ‘Kaagapay’ Class of 1996, assumed his role on January 9, 2025, at the Police Regional Office in Caraga.

Before his appointment, Abrahano led the PNP Aviation Security Group, bringing a wealth of experience to his new position. In his inaugural address to the personnel of Police Regional Office-13, he highlighted the critical task of ensuring peaceful and orderly elections in May. Abrahano outlined his priorities, which include thorough preparations for the upcoming polls and a comprehensive review of election-related operations.

He presented his campaign plan, which extends beyond the elections to encompass broader goals of crime prevention and law enforcement. Abrahano stressed the significance of enhancing police visibility and improving response times as key strategies to prevent crime in the region.
