Davao Police Seize PHP9.6 Million in Illegal Drugs During December Raids

In Davao City, the Police Regional Office (PRO-11) announced the seizure of illegal drugs valued at PHP9.6 million in December through a series of anti-drug operations. According to PRO-11 director Brig. Gen. Leon Victor Rosete, the police executed 271 operations, which included buy-busts, search warrants, arrests, marijuana eradication efforts, checkpoints, and immediate police responses. The operations resulted in the confiscation of 1,399.78 grams of shabu, estimated to be worth PHP9.5 million on the street, along with five marijuana hills and 703.84 grams of dried marijuana plants, valued at PHP85,460.84. A total of 307 individuals were apprehended during these operations, including 27 high-value targets and 280 street-level suspects. Following these actions, 280 cases were filed in court. Rosete praised the dedication of PRO-11’s personnel in their ongoing battle against illegal drugs and encouraged them to maintain their momentum. He also called on the public to assist by providing information that could help in identifying and capturing those involved in the drug trade.
