·

In a significant move to bolster local development, the provincial government of Agusan del Sur has disbursed PHP5 million in grants to four of its towns. The distribution took place on Tuesday at the provincial capitol located in Patin-ay, Prosperidad. Carlosita Plaza, who serves as the supervising administrative officer for the province, oversaw the grant release. According to the Provincial Information Office (PIO), the funds were drawn from the 20 percent Provincial Development Fund. The beneficiary towns, namely Sibagat, Rosario, Santa Josefa, and Veruela, are set to utilize these grants for various infrastructure projects. The PIO emphasized that the provincial government prioritizes financial support to its municipalities and barangays. This initiative follows last year’s allocation of over PHP3.6 million to eight barangays across Prosperidad, San Francisco, Esperanza, Santa Josefa, and Bayugan City.
