A single lucky bettor from Metro Manila has kicked off 2025 in spectacular fashion, securing a staggering PHP314 million jackpot from the Ultra Lotto 6/58 draw held on Sunday night. The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced on Monday that the winner, who placed their bet at SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City, matched the winning combination of 36-46-16-19-23-27. The total prize amounted to PHP314,591,292.80. The winner has a year to claim their fortune at the PCSO’s main office in Mandaluyong, where they must present the winning ticket along with two valid IDs. It’s worth noting that winnings exceeding PHP10,000 are taxed at 20 percent, and unclaimed prizes are forfeited after one year. In the same draw, 22 other participants won PHP120,000 each for matching five numbers, while 1,470 and 33,697 bettors won PHP2,000 and PHP100 respectively for matching four and three numbers. The Ultra Lotto 6/58 is drawn on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The PCSO encourages continued support for their games, as a significant portion of the proceeds supports government charity initiatives.
