An individual from Iloilo province has become the latest millionaire after securing the PHP18 million jackpot in the Super Lotto 6/49 draw held on Thursday night. The winning ticket, which matched the numbers 19-48-15-11-07-24, was purchased at a lottery outlet in Sta. Barbara, Iloilo City. The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced the win on Friday, marking the third consecutive day that a jackpot has been won in their lottery games. Winners have a one-year window from the draw date to claim their prizes, as stipulated by Republic Act 1169. All major prizes must be collected at the PCSO’s main office located on Shaw Boulevard in Mandaluyong City. It’s worth noting that winnings exceeding PHP10,000 are subject to a 20% tax under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law. In the same draw, 26 other participants won PHP50,000 each for correctly guessing five out of the six numbers, while 1,531 and 25,427 players won PHP1,200 and PHP50 respectively for matching four and three numbers. The Super Lotto 6/49 is drawn on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles encouraged the public to continue supporting their games, as the revenue generated helps fund health programs, medical services, and other charitable causes across the nation.
