A single lucky individual from Metro Manila kicked off 2025 in spectacular fashion by clinching the P57 million jackpot in the MegaLotto 6/45 draw held on New Year’s Day. The winning ticket, which matched the numbers 06-41-29-12-02-15, was sold in Barangay Santol, Quezon City, as announced by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) on Thursday. The fortunate winner has a year to collect their prize of P57,030,072.20 at the PCSO’s main office located in Mandaluyong City, where they must present the winning ticket along with two valid IDs. According to the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law, any winnings exceeding P10,000 are subject to a 20% tax. In addition to the jackpot winner, 13 other players won P32,000 each for matching five out of the six numbers. Furthermore, 856 bettors will receive P1,000 for matching four numbers, and 13,501 players will take home P30 for correctly guessing three numbers. The 6/45 Mega Lotto is drawn on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The PCSO encourages the public to participate in its games to generate more funds for health programs, medical services, and other charitable causes nationwide.
