In a successful buy-bust operation in Sibulan, Negros Oriental, law enforcement officials apprehended a 40-year-old man and confiscated over 149 grams of suspected shabu, valued at more than PHP 1 million. The operation took place early Saturday morning, around 2:30 a.m., in Barangay Bolocboloc, where the suspect allegedly attempted to sell the drugs to an undercover agent. The suspect, identified as a resident of Purok Narra, Barangay Cadawinonan, is currently detained and faces charges for illegal possession and sale of prohibited drugs under Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act. Lt. Stephen Polinar, spokesperson for the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office, confirmed the details of the arrest and the seizure.
