In response to the severe weather conditions caused by the shear line, more than 300 individuals have sought refuge in evacuation centers across Camarines Sur, as reported by the Office of Civil Defense in Bicol (OCD-5). Gremil Alexis Naz, the spokesperson for OCD-5, stated during a Friday interview that 77 families, totaling 385 people, are currently housed in five different evacuation centers due to persistent heavy rainfall leading to floods and landslides in various parts of the province. The evacuees primarily hail from Buhi town, whereas families from Ragay, Sipocot, and Libmanan have been able to return to their homes. The OCD-5 has documented flooding in 13 local government units, with 54 reported incidents. Currently, 13 barangays remain under water, while the flood levels have receded in 38 others. Additionally, the impact on transportation infrastructure is significant, with six national roads and bridges now limited to one-lane traffic, and 14 local roads completely blocked to all vehicles. Two roads are also inaccessible to light vehicles, and one is restricted to one lane. The OCD-5 continues to monitor the situation and awaits further updates from other affected regions.
