A lucky individual from Cavite has won the staggering Super Lotto 6/49 jackpot of PHP15,840,000. The winning ticket, which matched the numbers 21-10-13-31-07-18, was purchased at a lottery outlet in Molino 4, Bacoor City. The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced the win on Monday following the Sunday night draw.
According to the PCSO, winners have a one-year window from the draw date to claim their prizes, as stipulated by Republic Act 1169. All jackpot winners must visit the PCSO’s main office located on Shaw Boulevard in Mandaluyong City to collect their winnings. It’s important to note that any winnings exceeding PHP10,000 are subject to a 20 percent tax as per the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion law.
In addition to the jackpot winner, 52 other players won PHP50,000 each for correctly guessing five out of the six numbers. A further 2,136 participants will receive PHP1,200 each for matching four numbers, while 29,193 will take home PHP50 each for three correct numbers.
The Super Lotto 6/49 is held three times a week on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. PCSO General Manager Melquiades Robles encouraged the public to continue supporting the agency’s gaming products, as the revenue generated helps fund health initiatives, medical services, and other national charities. The PCSO’s contributions play a crucial role in supporting those in need of medical assistance and providing funds to government institutions.
