In an effort to broaden its membership base, PAG-IBIG Fund’s Ilocos Region has launched the One-Plus-One (OPO) raffle promotion, targeting informal sector workers and students. The initiative was highlighted during a press conference in Baguio City, led by Merriam Pammitan, the area head for Ilocos, covering branches in Urdaneta, La Union, Vigan, Dagupan, Ilocos Norte, and Baguio.
Pammitan emphasized that the OPO promo aligns with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s vision for inclusive access to services. The campaign specifically targets market vendors, jeepney drivers, store clerks, overseas Filipino workers, migrant workers, and students, encouraging them to join PAG-IBIG and enjoy its benefits.
The OPO program incentivizes current members to recruit new members, including family, friends, and neighbors. These recruiters, dubbed ‘influencers,’ receive unique codes which new or reactivating members use when depositing savings. This action generates raffle tickets for both the influencer and the new member.
The grand prize for the raffle is PHP500,000, with minor draws scheduled for March, June, and September, culminating in the grand draw in December 2025. Membership is open to individuals aged 18 and above.
Pammitan highlighted the numerous benefits of PAG-IBIG membership, including government-guaranteed, tax-free savings with up to 6.5 percent annual dividends, multi-purpose and calamity loans, and death benefits. She noted that PAG-IBIG savings continue to earn dividends and can be withdrawn upon retirement, disability, or death, unlike dormant bank accounts.
Philip Raymond Salem, the Baguio branch head, mentioned ongoing collaborations with various organizations to boost enrollment, aiming to reach as many individuals as possible.
