In a thrilling turn of events, two fortunate individuals from Angeles City, Pampanga, and Brgy. BF Homes, Parañaque City, have emerged as the joint winners of the PHP53 million Super Lotto 6/49 jackpot from the draw held on Tuesday night. The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced on Wednesday that the winning numbers were 28-22-04-09-26-19, correctly guessed by both winners.
The winners have one year to collect their share of the PHP53,531,785.80 prize at the PCSO’s main office in Mandaluyong City. They must present their winning ticket along with two forms of identification. It’s worth noting that under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion Law, any winnings exceeding PHP10,000 are subject to a 20 percent tax.
In addition to the jackpot, 79 other participants won PHP50,000 each for matching five out of the six numbers. A further 2,434 players will receive PHP1,200 each for four correct numbers, while 31,508 will take home PHP50 each for three correct numbers.
The Super Lotto 6/49 is drawn three times a week, on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. PCSO general manager Melquiades Robles encouraged the public to continue supporting the agency’s gaming products, as the revenue generated helps fund health initiatives, medical services, and other national charities. The PCSO’s contributions play a crucial role in supporting those in need of medical assistance and providing funds to government institutions.
