San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora, alongside Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) Chair Romando ‘Don’ Artes, inaugurated the Greenhills-West Crame connector road on December 16, 2024. The new road, which stretches from Barangay Greenhills near Club Filipino to Barangay West Crame near the Boni Serrano exit behind Camp Crame, is anticipated to significantly reduce traffic congestion in the area. Mayor Zamora expressed optimism that the road would serve as a vital alternative route, easing the heavy traffic flow within the city. The connector road, previously a dead-end near Eisenhower St., now links a section of Barangay Greenhills and 3rd St. to Barangay West Crame. MMDA Chair Artes highlighted that the road would function as a ‘Mabuhay lane,’ providing an alternative to the busy Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue (EDSA). To maintain smooth traffic, the road has been designated as a ‘no parking zone,’ with strict enforcement of San Juan City’s wheel-clamping ordinance. Additionally, during the event, Mayor Zamora introduced the Wilson e-trike system, an eco-friendly public transport initiative aimed at further improving mobility in the city.
