MANILA – The Philippine Fleet recently concluded its first-ever ‘Pagbubuklod, Pagsasama and Pagsisikap’ exercise, a comprehensive training program that took place both on land and at sea. According to Lt. Giovanni Badidles, head of the PF public affairs office, this exercise underscored the navy’s dedication to safeguarding national sovereignty and promoting regional stability through a blend of traditional naval tactics and modern technology.
Badidles highlighted the sea phase of the exercise, which included complex maneuvers and live-fire drills, showcasing the navy’s tactical precision and the seamless integration of various naval assets, including the latest in unmanned aerial technology.
The exercise, conducted over nine days, was meticulously designed to enhance the coordination and interoperability among the Philippine Navy’s diverse units and equipment.
The training covered a broad spectrum of naval operations, including intelligence gathering, surveillance, reconnaissance, long-range targeting, swarm tactics, choke point defense, combat against surface and submarine threats, electronic warfare, mid-sea resupply, artillery practice, air defense, mine countermeasures, and underwater warfare.
