MANILA – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has announced the launch of the i-Registro platform, a new digital tool designed for all Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries nationwide. The platform became accessible starting December 6.
The introduction of i-Registro is a strategic move to prepare for the rollout of the First 1,000 Days (F1KD) conditional cash grants scheduled for January 2025. This platform aims to streamline the process of updating the profiles of pregnant women and young children within 4Ps households using digital self-service options.
According to Jimmy Francis Schuck II, Director of the National Household Targeting Office (NHTO), the i-Registro will allow beneficiaries to update details of pregnant women and children up to two years old, specifically for the F1KD cash grant. This initiative is set to enhance health-seeking behaviors among pregnant women and young children starting next month.
Schuck highlighted that the i-Registro offers the convenience of updating profiles from home, uploading necessary documents online, and receiving instant updates via text or email. Additionally, the platform integrates with the Philippine National Identification System (PhilSys) and the 4Ps database to maintain data accuracy and integrity, while still supporting traditional updating methods.
The platform is particularly beneficial for those with access to mobile devices and the internet. However, Schuck mentioned that an offline version and i-Registro kiosks are being developed for areas without internet connectivity.
Beneficiaries have the option to update their information either manually or through the i-Registro web portal, though Schuck advised against using both methods to avoid duplicate records. He encouraged all 4Ps beneficiaries to use the i-Registro to update their F1KD profiles, thereby avoiding the need for travel and long waits.
The i-Registro can be accessed at https://iregistro-4ps.dswd.gov.ph. This initiative supports the Marcos administration’s goal to digitalize government services, improving efficiency and the delivery of social protection services.
The F1KD program, starting in January 2025, will enhance the nutrition-specific benefits for 4Ps households, particularly those with pregnant and lactating mothers and children aged 0-2 years.
The 4Ps, launched in 2008 and formalized in 2019 under Republic Act 11310, supports over four million households with cash grants to help children complete their education and receive health and nutrition support.
