In a tragic incident in Barangay Inug-og, Pikit, North Cotabato, two 18-year-old senior high school students were ambushed and killed by two assailants on a motorcycle on Tuesday morning. The victims were en route to Noorul Eilm Academy Foundation Inc. when the attack occurred. One student died immediately at the scene, while the other succumbed to injuries upon arrival at a local hospital. Both victims hailed from Barangay Kabasalan in Pikit. Lt. Warren James Caang, a spokesperson for the North Cotabato police, indicated that a family feud could be behind the killings, as the students had no criminal records. The police have dismissed robbery as a motive, noting that the victims’ possessions and motorcycle remained at the scene.
