PHP230 Million Socialized Housing Project Set to Benefit 200 Families in Lapu-Lapu City

·

In Lapu-Lapu City, a new PHP230 million socialized housing project is set to provide homes for 200 families, according to Mayor Junard Ahong Chan. The mayor announced that the five-story building will feature units each spanning 24 square meters. The project, which aligns with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino (4PH) initiative, is ready to commence as the necessary funds are secured and the land has been donated by Johndorf Ventures Corporation. The donated land, a two-hectare plot, is located in Barangay Calawisan. Additionally, another housing project is planned for Barangay Canjulao. The Department of Environment and Natural Resources has mandated that the local government register the tax declaration for a 25-hectare area designated for urban development and socialized housing, a site that was officially declared by former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in 2003 through Proclamation No. 346.
