Antique Residents Urged to Purchase Noche Buena Items Early Amid Expected Price Hikes

·

In San Jose de Buenavista, Antique, local residents are being encouraged to start buying their Noche Buena products early. This advice comes from Mutya Eusores, the director of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Antique, who warns of impending price adjustments as the holiday season approaches. Eusores emphasized the importance of purchasing these items now while supplies are plentiful and prices remain stable. She highlighted the distribution of the Price Guide for Noche Buena items to stores, which aids both consumers and store owners in understanding current pricing. Additionally, Eusores stressed the necessity for stores to display clear price tags to assist shoppers. Trade Secretary Ma. Cristina Aldeguer-Roque noted that while most Noche Buena item prices have not changed, some minor increases are being implemented. These adjustments, according to Roque, are essential to cover rising costs, especially for imported goods. However, she reassured the public that these changes are minimal and designed not to overly burden consumers.
