CSC-Bicol to Launch 14,500 Exam Slots for Career Service Exam on November 17

LEGAZPI CITY – The Civil Service Commission (CSC) Bicol Region announced that registration for the Career Service Examination – Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) scheduled for March 2, 2025, will commence online on November 17, 2024. The announcement came on Wednesday, detailing that a total of 14,500 slots are available, with 13,400 designated for the professional level and 1,100 for the subprofessional level across the region’s six provinces and one component city.

Registration will be accessible via the CSC’s online platform at https://ro5apps.csc.gov.ph/nlist/ starting at 8:00 a.m. on November 17, and will remain open until all slots are filled. The examination centers are spread across the region, with Legazpi City hosting tests for Albay and Masbate, Daet for Camarines Norte, Pili and Naga City for Camarines Sur, Virac for Catanduanes, and Sorsogon City for Sorsogon.

CSC-5 has warned that accounts of applicants who fail to show up for the exam will be deleted, requiring them to re-register. Director Daisy Punzalan-Bragais emphasized the importance of staying updated and following the registration process carefully. She assured that a detailed guide would be released soon and encouraged applicants to contact CSC Regional Office 5 via email or Facebook for any assistance needed during the application process.

To further assist applicants, CSC-5 plans to host an ‘Usapang CSC’ session on Facebook, aimed at addressing common queries and providing clarity on the application process.

Eligibility criteria for the exam include being a Filipino citizen, at least 18 years old at the time of application, of good moral character, and not having been convicted of crimes involving moral turpitude or other specified offenses. Applicants must also not have taken the same level of CSE within three months prior to the exam date.

The examination fee is set at PHP500. The test will cover verbal ability, numerical ability, and general information, including topics on the Philippine Constitution, ethical standards for public officials, peace and human rights, and environmental management.

To pass, candidates need to achieve a general rating of at least 80 percent.
