Police in Central Visayas Seize Over PHP30 Million in Shabu During Multiple Raids

In a series of meticulously planned anti-drug operations across Central Visayas, law enforcement officials have successfully confiscated over PHP30 million worth of shabu. The operations, driven by intelligence, were conducted in various locations within the region, showcasing the relentless efforts of the Philippine National Police to curb the illegal drug trade.

The most recent operation took place in Cebu City, where police apprehended a 35-year-old suspect and seized PHP952,000 worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Mambaling. Earlier, on November 8, a significant haul of PHP6.9 million worth of shabu was seized in Sitio San Isidro, Barangay Mabolo, Cebu City.

In Bohol province, two separate operations led to substantial seizures. On November 9, in Tubigon, authorities confiscated around two kilos of shabu valued at PHP13.6 million. Another operation on Saturday in Barangay Tabalong, Dauis town, resulted in the arrest of a 42-year-old high-profile drug suspect and the seizure of PHP3.6 million worth of shabu.

Brig. Gen. Anthony Aberin, director of the Police Regional Office-7, emphasized that these operations are part of a broader strategy to eradicate the illegal drug trade in the region. He stated that the momentum of these efforts would intensify in the coming months, aiming to ensure a peaceful and secure holiday season for the residents of Central Visayas.
